This activity supports work on solving problems where pupils use the addition operation to solve a shopping problem.
Children are asked to calculate how many £10/£1/10p/1p units it takes to buy a series of objects.
Use this activity to reinforce classroom work.

Learning outcome

Children will be able to solve problems involving money. They will be able to use place value for tenths, and hundredths and use them in the context of money.
