This activity supports work on data handling and could be used to discuss the interpretation of data. For example, do the intermediate points on the graph have any meaning? Should this have been constructed as a bar graph?
This activity asks the children to examine some data linked to the height of water in the River Nile and plot a line graph.
More importantly the 'difficult' and 'expert' modes give some excellent practice in reading scales and then transferring that information accurately to the graph.
