This activity fits in well with class experiments that examine the relationship between the stretch of an elastic band and the force applied. It can be used as an extension activity.
After trying the first jump using the default setting the children are asked to predict which relationship will allow the jumper to collect the ball.
Get the children to explain their reasoning.
