Teaching idea

The activity allows the children to sort different animals according to the class that they fit into. Children should therefore have some information about the characteristics of each group.
Discuss with the children the characteristics of each group and begin the construction of a key that will help them identify the animals they are presented with.

Learning outcome

Children will know the properties that differentiate the different animal classes.
Children will be able to sort different animals into their different groups.
