To change the display settings of your computer load the Display Control Panel, to do this click with the mouse button on "Start" followed by clicking on "Settings", the Settings menu should expand. Click on "Control Panel" from the Settings menu and the Control Panel will appear.

From the Control Panel double click on "Display".

Within the Display Control Panel click on the "Settings" tab.

Please note : Some Graphics Cards vary in quality and features however your Settings tab should look similar to this:

There are two main setting that you may want to change, the number of colours you computer is using and the screen resolution.

To change the number of colours click on the down arrow under the "Colors" heading, a drop down list will appear with the available colour depths. We recommend at least 65,536 colours, this is often labeled "High Color" or "16-bit Colour" .

Under the heading of "Screen area" the sliding bar can be moved left and right to decrease or increase the resolution your computer is using. The resolution is the number of dots, called pixels, which are used to make the image on your monitor. We recommend using at least 800 by 600 pixels.

Once you have changed you display settings click "OK" and close the Control Panel Window, you may need to restart you computer for the changes to take effect.
